Okay, Lenovo replaced my panel with a different one, but there are these little marks on the screen...
I cleaned the screen repeatedly, but have no idea what these are - they don't seem like your typical dead pixels.
I would love to hear any solution that could possibly avoid the depot.
And, I am missing a screw out of the base after the replacement was done, what can I do about that?
Thanks...

The top mark appears to cast a shadow onto the screen, and the bottom mark, above the word "Settings" is definitely not sharp enough to be pixel related, and so I would say that it's either something on the outside, or even inside of the plastic front. Try cleaning a little more intensely in that area, possibly with a slightly damp cloth.
Interesting how you spot this after they've replaced your screen. Laptop screens I've played with have been supplied as a complete sealed unit, and so there shouldn't be any way for foreign bodies to get in between the screen and the plastic front, and they're assembled in a clean room. However I 'm not an expert on every make and model of Laptop, and so maybe your plastic front is separate from the screen and that's how the foreign bodies have got in there when they opened it ? (or the replacement unit was not a factory sealed one ?)
Just my thoughts, don't want to alarm you, and I may be way off !
P.s. I'd either call them up about the screw, and ask them to send you half a dozen, or take another one out and take it to your local hardware store to get one of the same thread and length, but whatever you do, do not try to insert a screw longer than the original. -

I wiped it again and no luck. Plus, these are only two of seven little dots on the screen.

These are probably dust particles.
There are several sheets between the LCD and the diffuser in a panel.
I have got my particles when needed to disassembly the panel after pouring water on it.
They are very difficult to remove from sheets since they are small, almost invisible (prior to re-assembling) and almost glued to them by electrostatic forces. -
I think I have similar marks on my screen. I think they come from the keyboard. At times, my red mouse pointer thing made its way and made a stamp of itself on the laptop screen. This came off, but the marks from the buttons to the touchpad are permanent.

I believe these are particles that got under the polarizer during the lamination process. If you can't live with them send it back as a defective unit.

Alright, screen is getting taken care of.
And, I made a mistake in saying Lenovo left out a screw - that was my fault because I actually have it, so sorry for that note, I wasn't as vigilant as I thought I was. I am happy to have my notebook back without any more wear on it than when I sent it in, at least.
What are these marks on my panel? (Pictures inside)...
