I ordered my T61P this past weekend. Now I need to start figuring out what accessories I'll need to go with it. One of the main things I've been trying to figure out is what case to buy. Ideally it would be messenger bag style, and also have a removable sleeve for the laptop when I want to travel light. Ideally it wouldn't cost me more than about 120.00 either.
Considering this I'm thinking about getting a Timbuk2 Classic bag with a sleeve. Has anyone done this? How does it work out?
Any other suggestions?

I use a backpack myself.

I use a targus chicago style backpack. It's starting to look pretty ghetto after 3 years tho...

I use a backpack too... North Face Borealis, fits the 14.1" T61 w/ 7 cell perfectly.

I use a MEC 13" sleeve and my MEC Adventurer.

I have my T61 on order also. But I did purchase the Mobile Edge Secure Backpack. It is very nice and one of the most secure backpacks you could get. Also, looking at Water Field Laptop Sleeve for a possible sleeve.

I've been using a camelback. It's nice because the back is sort of rigid, stays protected, and doesn't look goofy. So basically, it's thinkpad inside of this: http://www.stmbags.com.au/glove inside of my camelback. I'm really happy with it, and my thinkpad still looks pretty (aside from the finger smudges).

I'm surprised so many of you use backpacks...
Maybe I should be considering a backpack? -

Ogio backpack, I think the Metroid - just took it from my brother.
I'm a student, hence the backpack... Although I have worn a backpack with a suit, but that was merely for functionality
What bag do you use for your T6x?
