I'm on the verge of choosing a T42 for my next toy to buy within the new few months. I'm curious what hard disk brand does IBM uses... or in this case... what brand is in your machine? I've had bad experience with Toshiba HD. I've heard that Hitachi is the worst drive out there.

    Thanks!

I don't know what they were using, but would guess Hitachi. It's far from teh worst brand though, they've been an industry leader for years and they make arguably the best notebook drive out there, the 7200 RPM 60GB unit.
