I am considering to upgrade the T400 after i order it.

Actually Hitachi's 4th generation laptop HDD is available now, with very attractive specification (25% less power consumption, faster application time).

So i am trying to decide now that, if i just upgrade it on Lenovo's website now or i buy it and replace the newly Hitachi one later by myself? If the lenovo also use the Hitachi's HDD, i may just upgrade it on Lenovo's website now directly.

If you have T400 or T500 and can help to check this for me, great thanks.

    Happy thinkpad.

Lenovo uses Hitachi, Seagate and WD I believe, and I don't think that there is a way to choose which brand you get.
