What screen is 42R9207 on the T60 (Samsung, LG, etc.?) Does anyone else have it and how does it compare to others?

Please read the FAQ in these forums (I believe it's Sticky) and it will explain how to find out what kind of screen you got - You probably gave us the wrong number - has your unit shipped yet? If so they should've sent you an email with a FRU#... and that is what u use to find the brand screen you got. If yours has not shipped yet you will have to wait til they send you the email when it has shipped to find out which one you got.

Actually it had arrived already last week. I wanted to just find out what components were in it. The screen is standard ratio and more or less good with a slight sparkle in one small thumb print area and I do get a stuck pixel from time to time until the system reboots. I will check out the FAQ section like you suggested. Although the FRU# (or what I thought it was) came from that email from Lenovo you were talking about. It was listed like this:

    Qty Component Description Cost
    1 42R9207 SBB TFT 14.1 XGA $0.00

That's not the FRU that's just an internal part number. YOu need to use the Serial number you recieved... the sticky explains everything.

Thanks for all your help. So I do have a Samsung screen and a chicony keyboard it turns out. But they seem good so far. I read somewhere some people had some problems with samsung screens but so far so good here.

My LCD (also 14' Samsung SXGA+) has a brighter lower edge, which is like a leakage of light.
