My new 14.1" T61 runs more than warm on the bottom left as soon as it's turned on, much warmer than the palm rest. Does anyone know what could be causing it? I have only 5400rpm, integrated graphics, Thinkpad abgn (not using wireless yet). XP Pro. Nothing fancy. I've never opened up a laptop and don't know what devices are in bottom left area...? Thanks.

Hmmm, BTW I'm supposed to have 60GB hard disk, but in reality only 50.2GB--10.8GB used space, 39.4GB free space. Does it sound right?

Thanks for the info. Yes, it is near the back. I have Core 2 Duo T7100. I suppose most of you got at least this level.
