Just curious what other people got in the box with their new Thinkpad because mine was really bare. All that was included was:
1) Thinkpad X61
2) Battery
3) Power adapter
4) Replacement rubber nub for trackpoint
5) Some manuals
I didn't even get any software CDs or driver CDs. Is this typical?
Also, my laptop was bare of stickers as well. Only had
1) Intel centrino Duo and Windows Vist sticker on the left palmrest
2) Energy star sticker on the top right corner of the lid.
One the reviews, i always see a big sticker on the bottom left of the lid.

i ordered the r61 with linux so i got a linux cd along with the power adapter, and a manual or two.
mine is pretty bare in terms of stickers. it only hsa the intel centrino sticker, with no vista sticker or the black corner sticker on the top of the lid (i saw it on some other thinkpads). -
You received everything you were supposed to receive. There's not much else to find in the box other than the three things you listed.
Drivers can be downloaded off of Lenovo's site.
As for stickers, mine came with the three that you mentioned. -
I got those. No CDs besides the Vista Anytime Upgrade disc. I also got replacement rubber trackpoints, and a modem cable (I think?)
[Edit] Sorry, I forgot to say I have a T61 -
My x61t came with with pen book no cd replacements tips for the pen
8 cell battery
power adapter
Not realy all that much -
My T61 came with the usual manuals and stuff + a set of recovery disc, Lenovo USB mouse + carrying case. Since I bought it at my insitution of study, I think they made it mandatory for every manufacuter selling laptops there to include a mouse and recovery discs.

It's all in that pad!
so you don't need to carry many stuff. -
All the software installed on your machine is located in the SWTools folder on the C:\ drive. Burn it onto a disc and you'll have a drivers CD.
What did your new Thinkpad come packaged with?
