I know Thinkpads are sturdy and awesome, but what about Lenovo Ideapads? If you've owned an Ideapad recently, how long did it last without major problems and failures?

My first IdeaPad was a Y580, and I am onto my second now, the Y510p.

The Y580 died around 18 months after I purchased it, which was a real shame. I only gamed a couple of months on it or so, never overclocked it, hardly moved it around - so it was well looked after. I was expecting it to last way longer, and when it was working, it was a good laptop.

To their credit, Lenovo sent me a replacement Y510p, which is what I have had for the last few months. At first I was dissapointed as I preferred the look/build of the Y580, but I have gotten more used to it now. Build quality seems a little better perhaps compared to the Y580 - but people have been complaining about overheating issues - I don't know myself as I am yet to game on it. But perhaps it only affects laptops with SLI configurations.
