I just purchased a X200T with what I thought was the new outdoor screen. I am in Canada and the Lenovo site listed a choice of 4 screens. I thought the one described as: 12.1" SBO WV WXGA TFT was the outdoor screen (SBO= SuperBright Outdoor) and the price premium ($175) was the same as the outdoor screen listed on the U.S. site. I just happened to visit the Lenovo site in Australia tonight and they have the outdoor screen and the SBO screens listed separately. Now, I have no idea what I ordered. I cannot find a definition for SBO anywhere on the internet. Can anyone help me?

    welcome to the forum!

SBO does, indeed, mean "superbright outdoor". if you saw them listed seperately, it's because one is a standard panel (230 nits) and the other is superbright (400 nits).

Thanks for the feedback, Erik. If the monitor I ordered reads: 12.1" SBO WV WXGA TFT [add $175.00], how do I know if it is the new version (400 nits) or the older one? They certainly don't make it easy to find a description of the various options. The Australian site lists:

    1) "12.1" SBO WV WXGA TFT [add AU$132.00] ", and
    2) "12.1" WideView SuperBright LED backlit WXGA panel [add AU$99.00] [Lenovo recommended] This Outdoor panel offers the brightest-in-class picture and the lowest-in-class reflectivity giving an excellent outdoor viewing experience"

Reading the above, I would think that 1) is the older version (although it is more money). Since 1) has the same description as the one I ordered, I am concerned that I may not get the new 400 nit screen.

#2 is probably the 400-nit panel but i'd suggest calling sales at 1300 557 073 just to confirm.   i don't want to make any assumptions here and give you bad info.
