My 90W lenovo brick has a problem - the gray plastic that connects the plug (that goes into the laptop) to the cable (that goes into the brick) is broken - just old plastic that broke of slowly. Now because of this the connection isn't so good and the cable works on and off which basically makes it useless. The AC adapter is still under Warranty, u think this kind of damage is covered?

just tell them that the ac adapter is faulty at the connector and the power delivery is intermittent, this should covered under warranty.

Well, just came back form the service center. It's not. Had to buy a new one. This is my first and last lenovo thinkpad. What a piece of $hit.

What did you tell them? And is your laptop still under warranty.

Don't go to the Service center. Call Lenovo and they will transfer you to the support center in Georgia. Then just make up some crap and they will send you a new replacement.

Why "make up some crap"? If it's not the user's fault, it's obviously a manufacturing defect - which is covered by Lenovo's warranty.

The laptop has about 18 more months of warranty. They did not accept that it happened by itself (and is a defect as was mentioned). They said it's simply not covered.
btw - not everybody is from the states - so No, a transfer to georgia does not help me.
A mail-in is irelevant anyway since I needed the laptop today.

    Where are you located?

"Make up some crap" means just saying something like "it won't charge the laptop" or "it's on and off" something like that. 99% of the time they will send you a replacement no question asked. But you mentioned some incident like that they will believe it's your fault and will not send you a replacement.
