I see there is an option "W/FDE" when selecting the hard drive type.. can someone please tell me more about it?

also if you go with 7200 rmp instead of the 5400, does it cause more heat and does it affect the battery life

    thanks

    FDE is "Full Disk Encryption"

7200 does generate more heat and "should" also drain more power from the battery. Can't say these for sure though.
