    What else is there for T60?

    many of you guys know, I have a Lenovo T60 with no restore disk so i tried downloading all the drivers seperately using the Lenovo driver downloads. i downloaded tons and tons of drivers but its seems as if i still dont have enough? oh jeez. i got most of my drivers installed like wifi, blutooth, fingerprint,audio etc but these are some i just couldnt find.

    yes i do. but its just a recovery installation? is it? i was able to install the "unknown device" and "sm bus". so i just need to install the one on the top. "modem device on high definition audio bus"

    If you have service pack 3, it should have the necessary update for XP to see your HDA modem. You should be able to install it without issue. Are you running SP3?

    ya i am running a sp3. so can i just click the reinstall button on the Device Manager and it should work?

    EDIT: oh wow! thanks! it worked. i would have never thought this would ever work....it never have before. i actually just updated sp3 today few hrs ago.

    hmmm.. new problem now. TPM seems to be having problem. any idea why it has a yellow sign?

    Ah, I didn't notice you had two Atmel TPM entries before. Unfortunately, this is a common issue. I know of only two solutions. One, you can uninstall/disable the second non-working entry without any negative consequences. Two, you can install ThinkVantage Client Security Solution.

    oh i see. i guess ill just disable the second TPM. what exactly is a TPM anyways?

    It's mostly for security applications. It can encrypt and store security keys. Mostly used with the ThinkVantage Security Solutions.
