t42? t43? My z60 has them, so I assume t60 does too right?
-
My T40 has them.

Nice. Probably going to go for a quick and dirty replacement while they're working out the t61 issues, and wondering how far back I can go. Became just as addicted to those as I am the trackpoint now.
Thanks. -
if i'm not mistaking, the "scroll zone" is something software related and not hardware related. you can essentially convert any trackpad without a scroll zone into one with the appropriate driver.
please correct me if i'm wrong. -
I didn't think about that, of course you're right. WHy should there be anything different in the touchpad itself.
still, my question wouldn't change much- just "which generation has the scroll zone software".
I love those for just lollygagging around the interweb. When I am jumping from field to field, typing and pointing, word processing, email, spreadsheets, etc it's gotta be the trackpoint. Lots of heavy scrolling with the trackpoint gets tiresome though. Where the scrollzones come in. Also, sometimes, I order pizza. -
So, I bought my T61 and don't have a 'scroll zone', how can I enable it?
-
If it didnt work, go and head over to the lenovo website and download and install the touchpad software/drivers -
I had to install the UltraNav drivers to get it enabled. Working great now though!
Cheers.
What generation did thinkpads start having scroll zones?
