It seems to have vanished without a trace, at least for the T400 and T500 model offerings. Has anyone noticed? Is it just me, or have they scrapped that strategy? Or perhaps they just neglect to mention that all models with ATI graphics actually include the full GMA965 system and hence the GMA chip as well, and do switch between these too. I don't know...

i think it's just assumed. I'm pretty sure when I ordered mine, it just said radeon3470 as it does now. perhaps im wrong?
edit:
I found this thread from October

So I think nothing has changed -
All T400, T500 (and W500) models with the discrete graphics chip (Radeon/FireGL) also include the Intel x4500 GPU.

Tanks, guys.

lenovo isn't going to scrap such a winning technology
-
Well,
apparently "winning technology" is an elusive and fairly subjective (read: sellable in volumes) thing, since Lenovo has been scrapping certain technologies used in IBM Thinkpads over the years, and I do not even know why, but I cannot say I am enjoying the trend. I do have two laptops in front of me now - a T41 and a T61, and boy, can I tell the difference between the two...They don't make Thinkpads like they were anymore. But what else is new...
What happened to switchable graphics option at lenovo.com??
