    Geeze, we need to make a temporary sticky on this or something. :) The T61p line has been pulled from Lenovo's order page due to their massive backlog on orders they cannot fulfill at this time. They didn't put an eta on when it will be available for order again. In the meantime, goto CDW, do a product search for "T61p" and order what you can as they are getting shipments in pretty steady this month.

    This sucks I suppose.

    It probably is all due to one component being in backorder... probably the GFX.

    I thought it was the 15" T61p that had a massive back order, not the 14".

    In anycase, I just hope it's available again soon.

    Currently Lenovo says it's between two items:

    1.) the Wireless USB Adapter (for those who ordered it before August)
    2.) the WUXGA display (for pretty much everyone else)

    At this point it's 6 one way, half a dozen the other... But that's what this week's story is on the delay. We'll see what next week's is when the supposed 'next big shipment' is sent out.

    Yea, so as I was saying, that has nothing to do with the 14" T61p, which uses SXGA+, and what wireless USB adapter? You mean the integrated one? If that's the case, then they coulda just taken that one option out... There's many different wireless adapters to choose from anyways.

    From what my rep told me, the 14" T61p was removed to do a mixed shortage of SXGA+ screens and the Quattro 570 128MB GPU. Since their factories are already backlogged enough as it is with this line, they are currently only selling machines that are high in quantity with stock to ship. (Or so she said)

    The wireless adapter I'm speaking of is for the 15.4" T61p, which was the only model that it was sold with.

    Oh, I see... Yea I never even glanced at what the 15" was offering, so my apologies for the ignorance.

    And it sucks that the 14" has a shortage on 2 essential components the day right after I discovered that there's a better 14" than the Zepto. And here I was, hoping to get one before school starts... Hope for the best, I guess... But if the 14" ever returns with the same specs and a widescreen, I wouldn't mind that much either. Time shall tell...

    They can't even come close to delivering on what's been ordered.

    Even if you ordered it, you wouldn't get the darn thing.
