I want to buy an S10 but think it may worth waiting for a few more weeks or couple months for possible improvement. What do you all think could be improved or added in the near future?

I doubt you'll see much change.

A dual core Atom would be nice, but I think it is unlikely. The 6 cell batteries should become more plentiful.

What the S10 needs is a TrackPoint. A notebook of that size should not be equipped with a Touchpad (I find them uncomfortable in anything short of the gargantuan Apple implementation). A TrackPoint would be a distinguishing feature for the S10 compared to other netbooks and would make it a superb little netbook (it could even have a 7 row keyboard this way).

    Trackpoint? Yes please!

Wishful thinking though since the Trackpoints are only on Lenovo's Thinkpads.

A dual-core atom is inevitable; but I think it won't be until next year when we'll finally see them in netbooks.

Do you think the price will go down a little in a few months?

How about a little higher res? that is a possibility. But you might want to pick one up now. When the s10e gets here, it will have a 1024x576 glossy screen. x_x

To hell with glossy  If they all become glossy then I'll look elsewhere.

yes! this would be perfect for the S10, i'm all for trackpads, but the S10 being so small, its hard to use sometimes because there is nowhere to rest your palm.

As for glossy screen, the matte screen was one of the top selling points for me. Since this is a netbook, I can take it anywhere, and glossy is the worst outside, especially when you have to dim your screen for battery life.

Ditto. Then the netbook would serve as a pocket mirror
