    No, just a lower purchase price and the lack of Microsoft Outlook.

    Why couldn't you just have gone to Amazon.com or Microsoft.com to figure this out? This isn't even a question specific to Lenovo computers, it would've been better served in the Software forum.

    In addition to it not having outlook, the student version includes onenote, which is a pretty nice program if you are a nerd that brings your laptop to class.

    usually the student versions of office that the universities distribute to their students are the professional versions that dont require activation.

    I just bought one copy of Office Enterprise and one copy of Acrobat Pro. 8, both with student license, totally $160. Hope they both are the complete edition.

    I have Office XP, Office 2003, Office 2007 from my university and they all require activation.
