This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I believe it is some Lenovo service creating this file.
    C:\var\log\DOT11MonitorAgentSvc.txt

    any ideas what it is for and why it is there?
    It is impossible to delete.

    I think it might be related to the power manager. I recall having a similar file appear on my system.

    Update to the newest power manager version it should fix this problem (removal of a perpetual file was mentioned as a fix).

    I know Dot11 only from wifi networking - still it shouldn't write log files to that place (/var/log is UNIX' place to store log files).

    Definitely not "fixed" by the latest power manager - file is still unremovable.
    I am sure it is associated with some thinkpad/thinkvantage software.
