RAM: No. It is soldered onto the main board.
HDD: Yes, but with limited choices of upgrade options. It uses 5mm HDDs with a fairly new connector called SFF-8784.
SSD: Yes, with standard M.2 SSDs up to 80mm long.

Note that the HDD and SSD are in different slots, and both slots should be present on any Y2 13 you get.

It is simple to put an SSD in the empty M.2 slot in the Yoga 2 13. Since it already has a 500GB drive, I chose and installed a Crucial M550 M.2 128GB SSD card. You need a mounting screw. This card is available from Newegg for about $100. My total cost for the Yoga 2 13 is $899 including the SSD.

My Yoga 2 13 now boots from the SSD to the desktop in less than 13 seconds and has 628GB of storage. Its PCMark 7 score is 4935 with the SSD. This card has twice the write speed of the Samsung SSDs used by Lenovo.
