I am getting one, and wanted to know what is a good sleeve for it.
-
anyone found a good sleeve
-
'InCase' brand neoprene sleeve (sized for Apple 15"), very thickly padded and plenty of protection - fits my R61 pretty good. A bit ugly, but it'll do. Was on sale for $19.95 at CompUSA.

STM Rebound memory foam sleeve for the 14" macbook. Fits all 14" inch T series like a glove, most low profile memory foam sleeve I have found.
-
any others?
just trying to get an idea of options -
sfbags.com makes great sleeves, have two and getting ready to order a 3rd.

I have this one for my 14" T60. I think it should be around the same size as T61p 14"
ebay link
It's a knockoff, but the quality is good and it provides decent protection. Fit is tight. Magnetic clasp is nice touch as well.
When I was looking for a sleeve I didn't really want a neoprene one, or a zipper or velcro so this one fit the bill. It's not the cheapest option thought -
For a simple thin padded sleeve with a handel I use the Sumdex Impactguard http://www.sumdex.com/core/impactguard.asp
google sumdex to find online sellers.
For a thicker, sturdier padded sleeve to protect the laptop while carrying it in a backpack I use the Tom Bihn vertical brain cell http://www.tombihn.com/page/001/PROD/300/TB0390
I also use a tom bihn backpack. Northface makes some nice notebook backpacks too though. -
What about any of these:

the best sleeve for my T61 14"1 WS. give it a try -
I would really take this:
http://cgi.ebay.nl/Laptop-Sleeve-Ca...ryZ31521QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It's the black-red original IBM Japan sleeve, I have a 14" wide version from that serie, and it perfect-fits my 14" WS T61, but it's also available in 12" and 14"4:3 -
I have a T61 14.1" widescreen w/ 7 cell battery. The 14.1" Zeroshock (made by Elecom) can be purchased from eBay for $27.99 + $10.95 for shipping and handling.
Just go to eBay and search for Zeroshock. Seller is located in Dallas,TX.
The Zeroshock is a very good fit and has wave-shaped memory foam inside the sleeve.
I ordered mine on a Wednesday, and received it by the following Monday. -
I have the SXGA+ (4:3), should that change what case i get?
-
Would the 13" Rebound http://www.stmbags.com.au/rebound be able to stretch .2" wide (9.8" vs 10"), or would it rip it?
-
Id recommend against that one I got it in the mail and it wasn't what I expected. You really have to cram and pull to stretch the neoprene around the lappy. The chemical smell is really strong too.
I have R61 wide, but I dont see the T slipping in much easier. -

I bought the Shinza for my T61 14.1".
At first I thought that the shinny exterior "plastic" cover was pretty cheesy but it really is a pretty clever design.
The vinyl exterior layer is pliable but also dense enough that it prevents forces from pointed objects [such as jamming the laptop up against a cell phone or dropping the laptop on its corner] from circumventing the protection of the foam padded layer it distributes significant point-force loads across a much wider area thus reducing the likelihood of damage it is also cheap and quite lightweight. -
What is the best sleeve for the 14.1" T61p?
