    Hi

I have installed RightMark CPU Clock Utility and utilised it for temperature monitoring.

I am running CPU T7500 using Maximum Performance Settings.

On normal usage with a CPU load at around 25%, the temperature records as 58 `C (degree Celsius)

On playing games e.g. Gear of Wars, the temperature reach 80`C.

    1. Any idea if the above temperature is acceptable.
    2. Any settings to tweak for a lower temperature?

    I'd say its about normal.
If you want it cooler you could visit the cooling guide written by Chaz.

Those temperatures seem normal. I highly recommend undervolting your CPU if you want to decrease your laptop's temperature. Here is a great undervolting guide. When I undervolted I went from 70C when gaming to about 60C while gaming.

People seem to get alarmed by high temps in these laptops because they are comparing laptop temps to desktop temps. Desktop / laptop... these are two different worlds as far as temps are concerned. The current Intel laptop processors are rated to a max temp of 100C. The X60/61 will get temps in the 90C range under full load. There isn't much rrom to breathe in that tiny little X61! If you click the link in my sig, you can see some temps and benchmarks for my T61. I was getting around 70C with prime95 x2 (both cores under 100% full load). The coooool in the laptop world.
