    What is this in Device Manager?

    I can't figure what this is and windows won't update it.

    Anyone know?

    Most likely your media card reader. Go to your manufacturers website (Dell, HP, Gateway, etc.) and look for a driver with Media Card Rader or something similar.

    I don't have clue. Could be an unindentified device that shows up. Looks weird. What does it say when you click on properties?

    This occurs after a reformat and all the drivers have not been installed and yes, your mediacard probably being one of them.

    Vista may pick this up and pick up the drivers for you during the update process. Another may be your webcam. Alot of people reinstall with only the updated webcam drivers, not knowing that the disk installation is still required. Also have you dot a fingerprint reader?

    Nope no fingerprint, going to try media card reader driver right now.
