Hi,
What is this second icon in the start up tray for Disk Keeper lite? When I scroll over it it says "Disk Keeper Engine is Active". This has been showing up since I did my first defrag using Disk Keeper Lite last night. I can't shut it off, and wonder if it's necessary? Not to mention I am unsure if it's just in my head but it looks like the HD is being accessed a slight bit more frequently than before I did this defrag.
I use XP on my T60 by the way.
Any thoughts?

I suspect that one of Diskeeper's options is set.
How about the collection of performance data? Or did you set a scheduled defragmention?
Start up Diskeeper and look through the settings for the Actions.

Thanks for the help John. Strangely it is not even showing up now that I've rebooted, but if I see it again I'll try what you suggested.

It's there running, monitoring your hard drive and files (not spying though), it'll detect if there is a low performing and accumulating files that are not responding that well, and will notify you when you need to defrag. I have that too, it does this to me every once in a while
What is this second icon in Disk Keeper lite, Disk Keeper Engine?
