I am having problems finding any display port monitors. Am I just missing them, or do I just need to get an adapter and buy a DVI or HDMI monitor?

I am thinking a 20-22 inch with WSXGA+ or WUXGA with a price range of $200-$300

    Thanks!

You probably will be best served by buying a DVI monitor and getting an adapter. There are very few monitors with DisplayPort at present, and the few that do exist tend to be expensive compared to a DVI equivalent.

There is no real advantage (other than smaller connector, and cheaper [for Lenovo] to integrate) of DisplayPort over DVI.

I'm very pleased with my HP lp 2475w which has a DisplayPort input. It's a black, businesslike IPS panel.

Only problem is, it's about twice your budget - but maybe look for 2nd hand ones on ebay in the next few months.

For me the DP will be of benefit as both DVI ports on mine are taken up (main workstation on DVI 1 and mac mini on DVI 2).
