    What type of hard drive do I have?

    How can I tell if my hard drive is sata or not on my T61? It is about a year old.

    The T61 had SATA drives. You can download HDTune and see your drive's model number and then google it.

    Pull the drive out and Google the model number. That is the only way to be sure.

    In Device Manager > IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers > Ultra-ATA or Serial-ATA Storage Controller (?)
