I was told that if I do a " parts lookup" I could find out what brand of screen I have. I can tell you that I am very happy with my screen quality ( I have owned 6 laptops ) but all the parts look up has told me is---42T0422 42T0423 15.4 INCH LCD DISPLAY FRU . Anybody know what brand this is?? (Lenovo T61). A google search just said that it was an IBM screen. Thanks in advance.

You can double check with PC wizard 2008 and check your monitor information. The "42T0422" and "42T0423" is the part number Lenovo uses internally and not the actual manufacture part number

PC Wizzard indicates that I have a LP154W02-TL06 . A Google search says that a LP154W02-TL06 is a LG-Phillips. Is that correct or are they just suggesting that a LG -Phillips could be used as a replacement?? At any rate, the screen I have is very bright, clear, and has good viewing angles .

I just checked and your screen appears to be made by LG.

To check yourself or to look up other parts go to the parts look up site. Enter your model number and serial number of your machine. From there you should be able to find links to a document that is arranged in table format. It should list the manufacturers of the various components of your machine.

You might be able to if you know the part's FRU, but I would use something like PC Doctor to let the software analyze and let me know by itself.
