What would I do about keys and a clean install?

I have a couple programs on my computer that I paid for (AVG Internet Security and Microsoft Office Student). If I wanted to do a clean install, would I have to rebuy a key? I got the Microsoft Office Office with the T61p, but I guess this would be a case by case basis.

I was reading about Office Student having 1 or 3 keys, but I got it with the laptop.

Perhaps some of the confusion comes from the fact the EULA for Office allows for two installs, a desktop and a laptop. For student addition I think is three.

Ok, that answers part of my question.
You wouldn't happen to know anything about AVG?

You ought to have a record of your install key from your receipt from AVG (or wherever you bought it) - and could conceivably request it again from them if you're unable to locate it. If you received AVG as part of your system install - does AVG do OEM installs? - hopefully the install code is provided for you somewhere on the system, or by customer service.

Either way if you're able to locate the AVG install code, it should be as simple as downloading the current version and entering your code at install time, though I don't have any personal experience with paid versions of AVG (the free version is more than sufficient for me).

Well I guess I will have to find the key.
I did get an install CD with AVG so I might as well try that once I do a fresh install.
