They make it seem as if you're getting such a great deal for this Father's day sale, but won't they just have something else after this one? I'm looking to buy a laptop within the next month or so, and if I buy it before the 17th I'm saving $320. Plus there's still the 6% cash back deal going on. Is now the right time to buy, do you think? Or are they just going to have another "sale" right after?

From what I can tell there's little variation in prices; Lenovo simply renames its sales every few weeks.

The Father's Day sale started right after the Memorial Day sale, and I'd be willing to bet the Independence Day sale will begin on Monday.

Well, it seems like they always repeat the same sales, year after year.

I think they're going to have a 4th of July sale, and then some back to school sale (which takes place quite a while before kids go back to school).

Lenovo's pricing seems relatively static. You won't be much worse off, if at all worse off, by waiting a little while. Like someone pointed out, they constantly rename sales and prices don't vary that much. You might save a few bucks by waiting, who knows.

But they do alter the prices on various upgrades. A three year warranty might cost 300$ during one sale, and only 100$ the next sale. You can save a lot of money if the sale happens to be tailored to the kind of system you want to build. For instance, if you are planning on putting your own ram in a notebook, then it is probably best to jump on the sale that has outrageous prices for ram upgrades. Because the other upgrade options will most likely be cheaper to compensate for the expensive ram, which you wouldn't want to upgrade anyway.

There are actually times where the pricing is relatively lower.

The sale up to Memorial Day was one thing, but prices dropped even lower that day. The same might be true in future.

There will always be another sale. Keep making price quotes so you can deal with Lenovo over the phone to get your pricing adjusted. But, technically, what comes after the Father's Day Sale should be the T61P comes out extravaganza sale.

    lol.

I've never EVER followed these holidays as closely as when I've been checking Lenovo daily to see where they are in putting out new technology.

    What's after July 4?

    Labor day is September 3.

Lenovo and other retailers must be desperate to find a reason to have a sale between that 2 month gap. I found it.

    couple of questions

when exactly is the back to school sale?

will the july 4th or the back to school sale be relatively cheaper? I know that the difference probably won't be much, but $50 bucks is a lot to some people.

since they change up what component/service is cheap, what is cheap right now now?

    Here are Lenovo's upcoming holidays:

    The CCP's Birthday (July 1)
It marked the founding of the Chinese Communist Party in 1921 in Shanghai. It is usually characterized by front page editorials from major government newspapers.

    Army's Day (August 1)
A communist-led nationalist army staged the first armed uprising in Chinese communist history against the Nationalists on August 1, 1927. It was regarded as the beginning of the Red Army (later the People's Liberation Army). Now the anniversary is often used to promote better relationships between the army and civilians, a tradition believed to have helped it beat the Nationalists during the civil war in 1949.
