Hi,
I am contemplating the purchase of a Z61m at Office Depot for $650. It is open box, and comes with only the power cable and the laptop itself. My question is, is there anything important that I should be worried about with getting an open box item? Namely, should I be worried about not getting whatever is in the retail box? What's in the retail box? Any recovery disks (or does ThinkVantage take care of that)?
Thanks for your answers.

My t61p came with: adaptor, 3 pointer covers (the red ones on the keyboard), a quick start leaflet and nothing else.

Yeah it is really light on extras that come with it. As long as you get the laptop and the AC adapter, thats pretty much it. You can get pointer covers easily for <$5 and you make your own recovery discs using the system.

i cant think of any major OEM's that actually include recovery cd's. even if you didn't receive any documentation, don't worry about it, because it is ALL available online in PDF format.

Make sure you get the battery too lol
What's in the box?
