This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     What's with Lenovo CA?

    It's so messed up..

    Whereas in US thinkpads can be configured completely, in Canada, thinkpads are already pre-configured and the only thing you can do is add some accessories.... wtf? This is lame because I really want to compare a thinkpad to sony vaio sz...

    Same goes for all the other major OEM's except for Dell. You can't configure Sony's at sonystyle.ca either. I think it sucks too, but I suppose there just aren't enough Canadians that want customization for the companies to justify the costs of doing it here. Even though I don't see how it would cost any more since US customized notebooks are built side by side in Asia with the preconfigured models that go to the rest of the world.

    Lenovo just doesn't care about Canada, and probably all other non-US countries for that matter.

    You still can only get the Pentium M on much of their Thinkpad line, which as we all know is now two generations behind. Not only that, the prices have not been adjusted to reflect this.

    They've pretty much just abandoned the Canadian portion of the website.
