    What's wrong with my Lenovo? (display noise after resuming from standby)

    Check out the attached screenshot - specific parts of the windows drawn by Windows XP look as if the image buffer has been overwritten with random noise. I can drag the window around and the corrupted elements follow. Refreshing the browser window doesn't help. The problem isn't application-specific, as I've seen the minimize/maximize/close icons messed up like that for random apps. The only way to get rid of these corrupted images is to reboot.

    This problem happens quite often my Lenovo T400 lately, after I resume from standby. I've uninstalled the ATI drivers and it still happens.

    How can I diagnose the cause of this?

    Make certain you have the latest BIOS, power and video drivers. You might also want to see if this occurs when using the on-board Intel graphics.
