I'm interested in either the U430 or Z510 and I noticed the Z510 has a bigger screen, hard drive, and better graphics card for around the same price. However, many people seem to be having problems with it, and I watched a video review and the guy said within a month the motherboard crashed twice. Is it even worth buying or should I just settle for the U430?

EDIT: Now that I'm on my computer, I'll elaborate a little more. I keep hearing about several different defects and problems on the Z510, and I'm probably going to purchase a used or refurbished one to save money, so that's a big deal for me. Does anyone know is there is a history of poor internal quality on these laptops? The specs and the price is perfect for me, but those problems scare me, especially since I'll probably buy it off of eBay.

The build quality on both should be the same, so really just get which ever is of best value. If you need the extra build quality, shell out for a Thinkpad, though be prepared to spend extra.
