    Time and usage will tell. Few people have one and durability will be tested.

    Define "durability"...

    For normal daily use, it should be durable enough.

    For any *extreme* conditions there are other, properly-designed ruggerized options...

    I would say older ThinkPad with the steel roll cage that makes ThinkPad bulkier. You can get the T440 and kick it 10ft and it will still work. Is that durable enough? Most ThinkPad can handle drops and abuse well. The X1 Carbon got flung across asphalt and it worked fine beside the dent. Make sure you use an SSD if you plan on performing a lot of abuse.

    Come on - older and new thinkpads both will be durable enough for your use. Are you blending the thinkpad??!
