    Ive seen several threads about this, which is the better one and how do i figure out which one i have?

    i dont think that the thinkpads have a bad screen problems but most ppl think that lg have the best. to check go to device manager, monitor and check the generic code

    Your best bet would be to use the search function since this has been discussed so many times. You'll find threads where people swear that the LG is the best. You'll find threads where people swear that Samsung is the best. Personal preference I guess.

    I've had a 15" WSXGA+ T61 with the Samsung and a 15" WSXGA+ T61 with an LG. In my opinion, it6 was no contest. The LG was superior in every way (viewing angles, bleeding, color, text, pictures, video...)

    Click on the "Thinkpad Sticky". There is a link for parts look-up. After you find your part number just google it. Another option is to use this utility: http://pc-wizard-2008.en.softonic.com/ to find your part numbers.
