Whats the difference between the X61 and the X61s?
and i also went on the lenovo site and saw that under the X61s were two choices one regular and one with mobile broadband... stupid question: wut is mobile broadband?

the differences are as follows:
1) The x61s body is slightly thinner than the x61. Note, however, that if you get the extended cell battery, the x61s ends up being the same size (this is possible because the thickness of the laptop ends up being determined by the battery, and not the body of the laptop)
2) Also, the x61s uses a Low Voltage processor, so it has a slightly weaker processor than the x61 line.
3) This low voltage processor allows it to come with the option of having a brighter screen as an option (the UL option). I think the battery life might be slightly better too
and to answer your last question: mobile broadband refers to WWAN, which is internet through cell phone carriers, such as ATT, Verizon, or Sprint. If you are not going to be getting that service, it's not worth it to get a mobile broadband-equipped notebook -
Keep in mind, you can't get both a WWAN (cellular) antenna and an UltraLight display; it's either one or the other.
