    Hey everyone,

Just curious... when does Lenovo usually charge your credit card for a shipped item? I ordered two T61 systems with docking stations. Both docking stations were shipped and my card was charged the day (if not second) they were shipped out.

My most recent T61 system just shipped out yesterday 6/13 (arriving tomorrow). Assuming it works fine, I wanted to pay it off pretty quickly, however my card hasn't been charged yet by Lenovo and there are no holds or pending charges on my Amex yet. Any idea if they just tend to charge for the system later than they usually do for accessories? How long should it take them? Any body else care to share their own experience with this?

    All info is truly appreciated!

With that said, should I be curious, worried, jubilant, hesitant or just patient that my PC was shipped yesterday and it hasn't been charged to my card yet?

Agreed! My guess is that since the laptops are actually shipping from an entirely different place than where the billing probably takes place... that there is maybe a couple days delay in when it officially gets charged.

Maybe they are lying about these shipping dates (sorry for this unwarranted suspicion, don't lose sleep over it) so they can blame UPS.

LOL! Ya never know... but I'm tracking it via UPS right now and it said it already left Hong Kong. So if it doesn't get to me it really is UPS's fault now! ;)

My X61 was charged the day after I ordered it (which was tuesday), but my status page says it hasn't shipped yet. Maybe because I used fatwallet/EPP (actual family)?

Weird indeed. I'll have to wait for my bank's records to show what withdrew the money, but unless somehow someone managed to find out the exact cost of my X61 I ordered and withdrew it, it was definitely lenovo.

It would seem valid that they charge your card when you get the invoice via email after the shipped email. I got it about 24hours after I got my shipment confirmation email and it detailed the card I used, price, etc. (full invoice).

That makes perfect sense. I have both emails as well, including the invoice one. Still no charge or pending charge on my Amex. I will check it again tomorrow... maybe the billing dept is behind now that all these systems are starting to ship.
