    When does T61 come with Blu-Ray?

    Does anyone know when the T61 will come with Blu-Ray? Of course, the question occurs to me right after my laptop ships. btw, here are my shipping dates:

    T61 / T7300 2.0 ghz processor / 100 gb 7200 rpm / 512 mb ram / 14.1 WSGA+ no camera / Nvidia Quadro / DVD recordable / TurboMemory / Fingerprint reader

    Ordered: 7/21
    ESD: 9/6
    Shipped: 8/9
    Received: ?? (It's enroute to Louisville, KY right now, from HK)

    the r61 already comes with blu-ray but the blu-ray drive uses a different ultrabay slot that is thicker, so it will not fit into the ultrabay slim drive that the t61's have.

    I'm sure they will come out with an Ultra Bay slim Blu-Ray drive within the next few months. That's the beauty of owning a Thinkpad, when a new CD-Drive comes out you can just buy it and throw it in your laptop without having to buy an entirely different laptop.

    "Few months" might be aggressive, but I must admit I'm hoping this does happen in the next year at least.
