When I purchased my T400, I got the "2 year depot 9x5 Next Business Day" warranty. However, when I do the Warranty Lookup at Lenovo, it still shows that my machine has only the standard 1 year warranty.

How long does it take for Lenovo to apply the warranty I purchased?

When I received my machine, I did not receive any certificate showing that I bought that warranty. Furthermore, the packing list does not show such warranty either. The only place that I see it is in the online receipt and the charge in my credit card :(

Should I call Lenovo about this?

Don't you have to register your machine on the lenovo website? At least that's how it works with Acer...

What do you mean? When the machine is bought, a serial number is assigned to that machine. The warranty is tied to the machine, not to the user who register. Right? Plus, we are talking about Lenovo here, not Acer.

There really needs to be a sticky about this. It was something that had me a little concerened at first too. It just takes the website anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks before it updates with the correct warranty info. If yours hasn't changed after a week or two, give them a call.

Like owkia said, it takes a couple days for registration to take affect.

I actually had to call Tech support last night, and they had to forward me to the warrenty service department to get me registered. And then the tech support had to call me back after I was all set.

Just FYI, I am seeing the same behavior. I received my T400 yesterday, and it should have a 3-year depot warranty. But the website is showing only a 1-year warranty.

I will wait a week or two and check again before I start worrying.
