There is a deals thread around here, maybe you can still work something together, there are deals for visa, american express, a few other things too. If you attend a university that has a contract deal with IBM or if you know someone that works for IBM you may also be able to use that get a discounted Lenovo. Alternatively, I'm sure the next sale will probably be better then this one, who knows when it will come though? Probably not too far away ;) The sale before this one, they were running a 10% sale for the weekend and they were giving 10$ DVD burners, that was shorter then a month ago.

The Labour Day sale is the US was sweet, but too bad I live in Canada.

At least my university has a Lenovo student discount. It's not that much of a discount but you can get your laptop ordered and in a few days (customized and all). I stopped by my campus computer store today and shocked to find out the R61 that I have been eyeing could be in and picked up by tomorrow afternoon.

sure, labor's day sale was sweet. I 've been waiting for half year to get a new laptop.

I lived in Canada for a while, I can feel your pain. talking about the tax and overcharge, especially the foreign exchange rate now.

There was just a Lenovo 3000 n100 for sale here for $500 with $100 mail in rebate and it came with a free printer and router. But they were sold out.
