    When is your T400 expected to ship?

    I called today, and a representative told me September 25th. I ordered on the 5th of August (release day). I got the LED backlit screen and 9-cell battery.

    What are your configs and expected ship dates?

    To be honest, I am kinda disappointed. I know this is a new release, but 7 weeks from order to ship? A month I can understand, but this is a bit much.

    Can't they just ship the computer and the batteries seperately. I'd rather have my computer and the ac plug and wait for the battery than wait for the whole thing to arrive.

    I beleive you need battery irrespective of whether you are on AC power or not

    That is wrong, you don't need the battery when you are on the AC power. I ordered 8/5, est shipping time 9/9. I got it with the 6-cell

    I hope they're not shipping parts of my laptop & expect me to put them together myself... :)
    the weight on the UPS page says it's 3.6Kgs, so that sounds about right.

    no i didn't order anything else but the laptop, when I called yeseterday the representative told me that I should check back on monday because "it is very likely that it's going to be shipped before monday".

    Mine just arrived yesterday...I'm in Toronto, Canada. but....a whole column of dead pixels down the middle of my screen :mad: so the computer that arrived super fast needs to be shipped back to the depot for repairs next week.
    Other than the pixels, it's awesome though.

    It took about 5 days for the security cable lock to ship to my house... I hope it doesn't take the laptop much longer.

    I just started college and not having a laptop is very inconvenient. I guess the only up-side is that I'm going to bed early...haha

    How long, on average, does it take to get to the New England/NYC Area after the laptop's been shipped?
