    When will be too late to get a T60 (vs. a T61)?

    I've come pretty close to settling on the T60 for my grad school work in the fall. Is it pretty certain that the T61 will skyrocket the price way high when it comes out? When it is released, will T60s still be available? I'm trying to determine if I should buy now (with the mondo Lenovo sales) or later. I can wait as late as August to buy, but I don't want to spend $500 more for a similarly-specced model.

    I doubt you will be able to purchase a T60 through Lenovo once the T61 comes out. You will, however, be able to buy it from a dealer if they haven't already sold out. Keep in mind you won't be able to customize these, you'll have to settle for a pre-built one.

    Gah!

    I should've paid attention to the sales end date! Any inkling whether the big discounts will return in the near future? Everything's been taken down, and prices have shot up again.
