I am particularly interested in when the next x series and t series laptops will come out.

The next x series, perhaps x80? Will it have a built in dvd drive? Or not likely? And higher resolution?

The next t series: will there be a 14.1 inch widescreen? or not likely?

Speculation as to dates? Any news as to when they will release this new line up?

I hate waiting for new technology. As soon as Thinkpad releases the X60s with Vista preinstalled through EPP, I'm getting it.

I'm guessing Lenovo's next line up will be when Santa Rosa comes out.

You can already get the x60 Tablet with SXGA+.

I would say this is correct. Late April or so, something will come out I suspect.

There isn't much pressure the x series right? I mean for regular x60, many companies such as Dell don't have core 2 duo laptops (edit: that is in their ultralight models). The x series I doubt they will put a CD drive in them. They could have done that any prior generation but didn't, it will always save weight not to have one, and they are right in my opinion not to include it. I have an old dell 300m also no CD drive I honestly don't miss it.

As for the T series, I don't know if it will get a 14.1 wide or not. I suspect eventually, it will. As I said in my other post I wouldn't expect anything between now and April.

The most likely series for modification is the Z series, someone suggest they would phase it out. I don't know what they will do really, but the difference between T WS and Z is much less, its just ports...

I would love to see the T60p with a widescreen option. It has everything going for it but that...
