I cant seem to find any thinkpads on the US or Canadian Sites with available 802.11n wireless cards, any ideas?

Put in one of your own. Why would you want to though? Support is spotty, the cards are expensive as are the routers. Wait until it becomes a standard then upgrade.

I dont understand what all the fuss s about 802.11N. I mean how can it possibly get any faster than 54mbs. I mean 300mbs, who would need that much speed.

If you are streaming HD Content to your tv through wireless it is going to be great.

You can stream 720P over a 802.11b network. You are only looking at about 500-700KB/s for that kinda traffic in mpeg4 format. 1080P would be pushing it on B, and would be on the low end of a G network capabilities.
I see the biggest gain with transferring full files, possibly better response with less latency, and hopefully better range.
Where are the 802.11n thinkpads
