Does Lenovo offer to retail store? I would like to see Lenovo thinkpad/ideapad in person.

I love Ideapad, but some people in forum said the screen is way too glossy make it like a mirror.? Can somebody please suggest? I love glossy screen compared to matte finish, but don't want to have 'too-glossy' either. Can somebody suggest?

    Home depot might have some....
Hopefully Circuitcity/Bestbuy will have some too.

No, actually, Home Depot has Lenovo laptops.

    See here.

I wasn't sure if they were online only or not, since it already had my location stored at the Home Depot site.

Also: Never expected Home Depot to have laptops, when I had first found them there.

    :D

And just to note, so no one goes to just any Best Buy and is disappointed to see they don't carry ThinkPads:

Only Best Buy's that have 'Best Buy for Business' inside will have ThinkPads. Be sure to check Best Buy's website to see if your nearest Best Buy has a BBFB locale.

Tiger Direct carries Lenovo. I live near an outlet store (which is super-convenient, BTW), and they have a few out for display and would probably fetch one out of the warehouse for you if you were interested in a different model than what they had out. Depending on where you live it could be an option, check their website. They can pull just about any product they carry online from the attached warehouse for you in a few minutes.

That has nothing to do with it.

I simply am saving a computer rep's time and energy dealing with some customer who's upset because they didn't have the business notebooks at that particular Best Buy because it's not a BBFB store, and I'm saving customer's time by making sure they know to check which of their local stores has BBFB.

    ;)

Considering they only have 11 stores in all of North America, it's probably not too much of a option for most people here.

    ;)

Again depending on where you live, Microcenter may be an option to see machines in the flesh.

Anybody know of anywhere in the UK where someone can try out these Thinkpads in-person? Thanks.

In addition to Microcenter and Office Depot previously mentioned, I've seen them at a CDW showroom.

You may want to check out other business that may use thinkpads. They might not let have hands on time, but just seeing in person maybe enough. Or perhaps its to demo something else. For example I got to see a T61 at the local Best Buy in the cell phone area. I think they wanted people to try out mobile broadband. It was in a security holder but I got to use it and determine I'd like one. Decent hands on time .

I saw one thinkpad R series machine(used) at Circuit City. I saw a couple of other machines at a local college where they sell Thinkpads and MACs to students. Make sure to phone around the local colleges, they might be your best bet.
