I'm very interested in these two models to replace my Dell Latitude D630, but where can I go (USA here) to actually put my hands on one of these and view the screen?
I have read reviews, but first-person is truly what I need to judge these by.
Lenovo's return policy leads me to believe I'll pay 20% if I want to return it -- while Dell is pretty much a lesser solution than Lenovo when it comes to quality and features, at least they have a favorable return policy.

They are difficult to see in person. Some college/university bookstores carry them. The restocking fee is 15% plus shipping I believe. It used to be you could return a ThinkPad no questions asked, but people abused it. I'm going to take it into account for my next laptop purchase.

Yeah I agree, it's virtually impossible. Also, it might not really help anyway. Screen, keyboard, built quality may vary from unit to unit. So it's still possible that the machine on display is very nice, but when you open the box it's a (complete or partial) lemon.

Dell has 15% restocking fee, hp has 0.

Dell didn't have a restocking fee last year when I returned an opened E6400 after having it for a day.
When did they institute that? -

Just view it online. Plenty of photos and some clowns doing unboxing etc. on YouTube. What is it that you need to see that you can't see already? A university bookstore is about your only shot if you have to glance at it for 5 mins.
Where can a prospective buyer go to view ThinkPad T410 or T410s?
