WUSB is wireless USB. I believe it is only being offered on the T61p right now.

WWAN is a wireless card which allows you to get broadband internet via the cell phone network. Sound familiar?

Also have UWB on my T61. I think they were mostly on the 6459CTO models offered by Lenovo between 07/10/2007 to 07/22/2007. UWB adapters came standard for the T61 and T61p then, you did not have to choose UWB as an option. :D

I performed a clean install before checking all these things.

Mine is a 6459CTO but it doesn't show any WWAN or WUSB anywhere even after I install the Lenovo "maintenance manager" software and download updates.

I can't find any info at all in windows device manager, same when I check parts rom the lenovo website.

Am I the unlucky one that did not get either of turbo memory, wwan, wusb?

Device Manager? In Vista, under "Universal Serial Bus controllers", I see "Lenovo WQST110 Host Wire Adapter" and "Lenovo WQST110 UltraWideBand Interface". Not seeing anything else in Device Manager.

There are several ways that you can check for WUSB/UWB

    1. Device Manager -> look on the very bottom of the list and open up USB controllers. You should see in the list of devices "Lenovo ... UltraWideBand interface"

    2. Press Fn+F5 (as previously suggested). If you have WUSB it should be listed as something you can toggle off and on.

    3. If you have WUSB you will most likey have a green light for it right UNDER your display. Those that have Bluetooth have a green light that looks like the BlueTooth symbol under the display. Those that have WUSB (and BlueTooth) do not have the BlueTooth green light. There will be a WUSB symbole green light instead. It looks something like this: ['^']

    4. You can also try installing the WUSB driver to see what happens.
