    Where the mSATA should be installed in a T520?

    If I would like to install a mSATA drive on my T520, do I have to install this drive where another hardware was pre-installed when I ordered my T520 (e.g. PCI Express Mini Card for wireless LAN)? Thanks for the feed-back.

    download the user manual from lenovo. It will be more detailed and specific to your needs than any answer you get from a forum quick reply.

    If you ordered a wwan card with your system then you can only use one or the other. Wireless lan cards are fine.

    Thank you. I got exactly the answer I was expecting. So, to confirm, if I ordered my laptop with the wireless LAN option, I can add the mSATA drive, right? But, if in addition to this I ordered my laptop with the option WIMAX 6250, in that case I cannot add the mSATA, right?

    WiMAX is built into certain WLAN cards.   the mSATA socket is only unavailable if you configure a WWAN (aka: mobile broadband) card.   in other words, you can have both WiMAX and an mSATA SSD if you want.
