My ThinkPad X1 Carbon power charger (the yellow square end that goes into the laptop) somehow got crushed. Does anyone know of any stores that sell a power adapter compatible with the X1 in store? ARe there any generic adapters that will work? Thanks in advance

If you have any old-style Thinkpad chargers (used genuine ones are sold on eBay for <$20), you could use something like the ThinkPad Slim Power Conversion Cable (0B47046) to make it compatible with the X1C.

Wow. Just looked this up... that adapter is expen$ive. The adapter is $25-35++. I think I bought the slim charger from the Yoga for under $60.

Yeah, it's quite unreasonable for a simple converter. But seeing as all the genuine X1C adapters even on eBay are at ~$50 each, buying an adapter for $25 and a normal 65W/90W Thinkpad AC adapter for <$20 might actually be a better deal...

Certainly a good point. I have at least 3-4 old-style chargers laying about (though my wife is using 2 on my old T410s). Perhaps, an adapter might be handy.

    I found this though... http://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-ThinkP...e=UTF8&qid=1370751679&sr=8-1&keywords=0b47046
