    Where to buy ultrabay enhanced travel bezel?

    Hi. All,

    I will get my T420 soon. Before that, just plan to reduce some weight of it.
    I'm trying to find the ultrabay enhanced travel bezel as described in here.
    Lenovo Support - Serial Ultrabay Enhanced device or travel bezel removal - ThinkPad T420 and T420i

    I plan to save some weight from DVD, since I'm not using it very often.
    I'm think maybe I could use the ultrabay slim travel bezel (cover) that listed on ebay, such as, NEW UltraBay Blank Travel Cover 62P4331 thinkpad T400 | eBay .

    But will this ultrabay slim travel cover leave some gap and might let dust come in easily? Since ultrabay slim is 9.5mm but the enhanced one is 12.7mm. That 3mm is a lot...

    Any comment would be more than welcome! Thanks!

    lenovo never made a 12.5mm travel bezel.   the only one for your system is FRU number 62P4331.   it's typically only included with docks or ultrabases that have an ultrabay.

    regarding dust entering that gap, there are plenty of other locations for air and dust to enter.   i would consider this a non-issue.   not even an optical drive seals the hole completely.
