    Where can I buy a new or used y410p motherboard in the USA?
    eBay only had them from China and I don't want to wait a month to get it.
    I can't get the part from Lenovo because the y410p is out of warranty.

    A major problem with consumer grade laptops. And something to be mindful. Search ebay for used pulls.

    Found one in USA for $560 waaaaay too high! :eek:
    All the other ones were from China and in the $200 range. I don't want one from China because of the long shipping wait. Looks like my $800 laptop may become a expensive brick.

    I haven't had time to get the MB out yet because of events going on in my family. Hope to get the MB out too look at it sometime next week. I have to other laptops to use in the meantime. Also a member here has a MB for a decent price, but I have to make sure they're the same by comparing pics first. Yeah, I'm very disappointed that the MB went bad... I have considerable money tied up in it... $950.

    Yeah, next time I think I'll go for a business Thinkpad instead.

    Not yet as I haven't pulled the MB. Had a bunch of things happen, so it will be next week before I can get to it. I will post as I do things though.
